The Retailers Association of Massachusetts Awards of Excellence was created in 1998 by "Retail Expert" Rick Segel, a board member of RAM and an independent author and retail trainer. The RAMAES was developed as a way to acknowledge retail excellence throughout the retailing industry in Massachusetts. With the support of the RAM staff, the idea to acknowledge outstanding retailers has become a reality.
